Background

O AC/DC começou a gravar Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap em dezembro de 1975 no Albert Studios com produção de Harry Vanda e George Young. Em abril de 1976, a banda fez sua primeira turnê pelo Reino Unido, onde "It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)" foi lançado como single. De acordo com o livro AC/DC: Maximum Rock & Roll, Vanda e Young viajaram para o Reino Unido para gravar várias músicas com a banda no Vineland Studios para um EP agendado, que acabou sendo descartado. "Carry Me Home" mais tarde apareceu em 1977 como um lado B de Dog Eat Dog, enquanto "Dirty Eyes" permaneceu inédita e mais tarde foi retrabalhada em "Whole Lotta Rosie" para Let There Be Rock de 1977. Composição

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap foi certificado 6× platina tanto na Austrália quanto nos EUA, vendendo pelo menos seis milhões de cópias, tornando-se o terceiro álbum mais vendido do AC/DC nos EUA depois de Highway to Hell (7× platina) e Back in Black (25× platina).
